Vice Admiral B.A.K.S.P. Banagoda RSP, USP, ndc, psc, MMaritimePol, MBA in HRM, PG Dip in HRM, BMS, Dip in Mgt, AFIN, JP (Whole Island), Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, on 25 June 2025 at Army Headquarters.
Upon his arrival, he was accorded a Guard Turnout and warmly received by the Adjutant General of the Sri Lanka Army. Subsequently, he was ushered to the special saluting dais, where a Guard of Honour was accorded by the troops.
Thereafter, the visiting Commander of the Navy was received by the Commander of the Army and was invited to pose for a group photograph. Both dignitaries then engaged in a cordial discussion on matters of mutual interest, particularly focusing on the vital roles played by the Sri Lanka Army and Navy in strengthening national security. They exchanged views on fostering inter-service cooperation, enhancing joint operational readiness, sharing strategic resources and expanding collaboration in maritime and land-based security operations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, mementoes were exchanged as symbols of goodwill. Senior Officers and Officers were present for the occasion.
