In line with the Clean Sri Lanka initiative, the troops of the 5th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) and the 14 (V) Battalion Gemunu Watch (GW) renovated Sammugrathnam Tamil School and Olumadu Tamil School in Mullaitivu. Additionally, an reverse osmosis plant was constructed and vested in the school authorities on 16 June 2025, under the direction of Major General D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, General Officer Commanding of 59 Infantry Division.
Major General K.M.P.S.B Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, Commander, Security Forces (Wanni), graced the event as the Chief Guest.
The initiative was financially supported by Dr Ariyathan Gobikrishnan of the Gobi Krisna Foundation and Mr Lawrence Johnpillai of the Wanni Aid Organization, and was coordinated by Major General Ravi Rathansinham (Retd).
