Under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces - Wanni, Major General K.M.P.S.B Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, and on the instructions of the General Officer Commanding, 21 Infantry Division, troops of the 211 Infantry Brigade, 9 Gajaba Regiment and 5(V) Gajaba Regiment, voluntarily donated blood during a campaign held at Padaviya Hospital on 07 June 2025. The initiative was conducted in collaboration with the Red Cross Society of Royal College, Colombo, as part of their 46th Annual Blood Donation Campaign.
Meanwhile, in commemoration of National War Heroes Day and World Blood Donor Day, the 543 Infantry Brigade organised a blood donation campaign on 14 June 2025 in collaboration with the Mannar District General Hospital Blood Bank. The event drew the voluntary participation of nearly 125 soldiers from the 54 Infantry Division.
The programme was held under the guidance of Major General A.M.C.P Wijayaratne RWP RSP nps psc, General Officer Commanding, 54 Infantry Division, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. A special address was delivered by Dr. M.H.M. Asath, Director of the Mannar District General Hospital, while Alliance Finance generously provided healthy meals for all participants.
