‘Security Forces (Wanni) Commander’s Challenge Trophy Volleyball – 2025’ tournament was successfully concluded on 04 June 2025 at the Mannar Urban Council Indoor Stadium. Preliminary matches took place on 20 May 2025.
Teams from five Divisional Secretariats in the Mannar District and two teams from the 54 Infantry Division participated in the tournament, featuring a thrilling contest between the 54 Infantry Division ‘A’ Team and the Mannar Divisional Secretariat Team.
An exhibition match between the Mannar District Women’s Volleyball Team and the Army Women's Volleyball Team added further value to the event by encouraging women’s participation in sports.
The tournament concluded with a awarding ceremony where trophies, medals, certificates, and cash prizes were awarded to the winners and runners-up in recognition of their achievements.
The initiative was conducted under the guidance of Major General K.M.P.S.B Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, Commander, Security Forces (Wanni), under the directions of the General Officer Commanding of 54 Infantry Division and the supervision of the Commander, 541 Infantry Brigade.
