The Directorate of Legal Services, Human Rights & Humanitarian Law (Dte of Leg Svcs HR & IHL), conducted the Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law Course (Other Ranks) No. 30 from 05 May 2025 to 04 June 2025 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL), Kukuleganga.
A total of 37 Other Ranks from the Tri Forces, comprising 29 from the Sri Lanka Army, 4 from the Sri Lanka Navy, and 4 from the Sri Lanka Air Force, successfully completed the course. The training aimed to enhance the professional knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the concepts of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law for armed forces personnel.
Brigadier Y.M.S.C.B. Jayathilake RSP USP, the Commandant IPSOTSL, graced the ceremony as the Guest of Honour.
Corporal N.S. Gamage of the Commando Regiment secured the first place in order of merit. The event concluded after the closing remarks conducted by Colnel K.A.P Kuruppu USP, the Director of Dte of Leg Svcs HR & IHL.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks also attended the event.
