Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Bids Farewell to Retiring Major General

The Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers bade farewell to Major General T.C Peiris RSP USP on 29 May 2025, marking the end of his distinguished military career spanning over 34 years.

Upon arrival, he was accorded a Guard Turnout and then paid tribute to the fallen war heroes by laying a floral wreath at the Fallen War Heroes Monument, followed by a ceremonial Guard of Honour at the Regimental Parade Ground. Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, formally welcomed the retiring Senior Officer and his family.

Afterwards, the Senior Officer interacted with all Ranks during a tea arrangement. The farewell proceedings concluded with a grand Dinner Night. The Colonel Commandant delivered a moving farewell address, praising retiring Major General’s commitment to the Corps and the nation.

In response, the retiring Senior Officer expressed his appreciation to the Colonel Commandant, all Ranks, and the SLE Seva Vanitha Branch for their unwavering support.
