Brigadier K.A.D.C.R Kannangara RSP ndc officially assumed office as the 17th Director of Sports on 29 May 2025 during a formal ceremony at the Directorate of Sports, Army Cantonment, Panagoda.
Prior to this appointment, he served as the Overall Security Coordinator at Army Headquarters.
During the ceremony, he addressed troops outlining his vision, strategic goals and the responsibilities associated with his appointment.
