Her Excellency Julie Chung, the United States Ambassador to Sri Lanka, paid an official visit to the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) on 19 September 2025.
Upon her arrival, she was warmly welcomed by Major General M.J.R.S. Medagoda RSP USP ndc psc IG, Commandant of SLMA.
During the visit, the Ambassador toured several key facilities of the academy, followed by a tea reception at the Officer Cadets’ Mess, where she interacted with officer cadets and faculty members.
To mark the occasion, the Commandant presented a memento to Ambassador. In return, she donated two valuable books to the SLMA library, contributing to the academic enrichment of future military leaders.
