The troops of 51 Infantry Division, 512 Infantry Brigade and 14th Gajaba Regiment (GR), conducted a donation programme at Namashivay Vidyalaya in Jaffna on 19 June 2025 under the guidance of Major General M.P.N.A Muthumala USP psc, the General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division.
Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), graced the event as the chief guest.
During the programme, school bags and books were donated to forty school children from low-income families. Financial contributions for this were provided by Mr R. Bhaskaran, owner of Rio Ice Cream in Jaffna, Ms V. Nidusha of Jaffna University and Mr T. Mohanaras, owner of Thenu Food City in Jaffna. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, the Principal, teachers, children, their parents, participated in the event.
