Troops of the 18th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) promptly responded to a bush fire that erupted in Koongahawela area, Balangoda. Upon receiving information, the troops swiftly mobilised to the affected site and conducted a well-coordinated effort to bring the situation under control.
Their timely intervention successfully prevented the fire from spreading to nearby forest areas, farmlands and residential areas.
