The 15th contingent of the Sri Lanka Force Protection Company (SLFPC) in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) returned to the island on 02 July 2025, upon completion of their tour of duty in the UNIFIL.
The 15th SLFPC contingent commanded by Lieutenant Colonel D.K.D Vithanage RSP VIR, consists of 11 Officers and 114 Other Ranks. As the Rear Party Eight Officers and four Other Ranks stayed in Lebanon until the completion of duty handing over process.
The contingent was warmly welcomed by Brigadier C.D Wickramanayake WV RSP ndc, the Director Movement along with a gathering of Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks.
