In conjunction with the 76th Army Day, Sri Lanka Army carried out a series of development works at the premises of the Sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura.
The Flag Blessing Ceremony was held on 26 September 2025 at the Sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, coinciding with these initiatives. At the request of the Chief Incumbent of the Atamasthanadhipathi, Most Venerable Dr. Pallegama Hemarathna Nayaka Thero, the Army undertook the laying of stones at the Mada Maluwa and painting works at the Sannipatha hall.
These works were completed under the direction of Security Forces (Wanni), with the close supervision of, 21 Infantry Division.
The development projects were carried out by troops of the 7 (V) Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and 4 Sri Lanka National Guard, under command to the 212 Infantry Brigade, together with the professional expertise of 2 Corps of Engineering Service soldiers.
