The Intermediate Boxing Tournament – 2025, organised by the Sri Lanka Boxing Association, took place from 18 to 21 August 2025 at the Royal College Indoor Stadium, Colombo, with the participation of 85 male and 36 female athletes representing 20 sports clubs.
The Army Men’s Team excelled with 5 Gold, 4 Silver, and 4 Bronze Medals across 10 weight classes, securing first place in the Overall Medal Tally under the supervision of Major General P.K.W.W.M.J.S.B.W Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, Chairman of the Army Boxing Committee.
Meanwhile, Lance Corporal P.H.I Wirajani of the 7th Battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps won Gold Medal in the under 54 kg category and was honoured as Best Female Athlete.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present at the event.
