Sri Lanka Army’s exceptional para athlete, Corporal Nuwan Indika Gamage, brought pride to the nation and the Army by winning the bronze medal at the World Para Athletic Championship held in New Delhi, India, on 02 October 2025.
Displaying remarkable skill and determination, Corporal Gamage recorded an impressive leap of 6.46 metres in the Men’s T44 Long Jump event, earning a well-deserved place on the podium among the world’s best para athletes.
