The Sri Lanka Army Inter Regiment Squash Championship 2025, organized by the Army Squash Committee, was held at the Mattegoda Army Camp from 05 to 15 October 2025, with the participation of 185 male and female players representing 11 regiments.
Brigadier D.K.R.N Silva RSP USP psc, Centre Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, graced the prize awarding ceremony as the chief guest.
The Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) team clinched the men’s open championship, while the Gajaba Regiment (GR) secured the runner-up position.
Captain W.P.Y Ireshan of SLEME won first place in the Officers’ Open event, followed by Major L.E.S Liyanagamage of Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE) in second place. In the men’s open category, Lance Corporal S.N Daniel of Gajaba Regiment emerged as the champion, while lady officer cadet H.M Abeyrathna won the women’s open title.
