The Sri Lanka Army Inter Regiment Cycling Championship – 2025, organised by the Army Cycling Committee, was held in Udawalawe on 28 and 29 August 2025 with 118 male and female cyclists.
Major General C. Kaluthararachchi, Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Director General of Sports, and Chairman of the Army Cycling Committee, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
The championship featured events such as the Individual time trial, road cycling, over-45 racing and women’s standard cycling. The Sri Lanka Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers emerged overall champions with 95 points, while the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps secured the runner-up place with 43 points.
Key winners were:
• Men’s Road Racing – Craftsman A.D.S. Perera (SLEME)
• Standard Cycling – Lance Corporal G.C. Madushan (SLASC)
• Women’s Standard Road Cycling – Corporal U.N. Kumarasinghe (SLAWC)
