The Sri Lanka Army is hosting a two-day training programme for trainers of the "Clean Sri Lanka" initiative at the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry in Panagoda on 18 and 19 February 2025.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Secretary to the President, along with Senior Additional Secretaries to the President, the Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, the Commanders of the Army and Air Force, Senior Officers from the Tri-Services & Sri Lanka Police and other key Government officials.
The proceedings commenced with a welcome speech delivered by Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), Secretary of the Ministry of Defence. This was followed by the Chief Guest’s introductory speech, in which he emphasised the objectives and significance of the "Clean Sri Lanka" programme.
Following the inaugural session, the two-day training programme began under the direction of a specialised training team organised by the Presidential Secretariat. The training sessions were attended by 135 participants from the Tri-Services and the Sri Lanka Police.
