The Clifford Cup Boxing Tournament organized by Sri Lanka Boxing Association was held from 15 to 19 October 2025 at the Royal College indoor stadium, Colombo.
A total of 20 sports clubs participated in the tournament, including 92 male and 42 female boxers. The Sri Lanka Army men’s team excelled by winning 07 gold, 03 silver and 12 bronze medals across 10 weight classes, securing the prestigious Clifford Cup Challenge Trophy and bringing great honour to the Army.
Meanwhile, the Army women’s team delivered an equally impressive performance by winning 02 Gold, 06 Silver, and 01 Bronze medals.
Sergeant H.S. Priyadarshani of 3(V) Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps was adjudged the best boxer of the tournament for her outstanding performance in the under 51kg weight category.
The Army Boxing Team participated in this tournament under the guidance of Major General P.K.W.W.M.J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, Chairman of the Army Boxing Team.
