The Passing Out Parade of Special Infantry Operations (SIO) Course No 77 was held on 28 June 2025 at Army Training School, Maduruoya.
The tactics leg of SIO Course No 77 was conducted from 2 May 2025 to 28 June 2025 throughout 57 days of rigorous training with the participation of 23 Officers and 164 Other Ranks under the direct supervision of the Directorate of Infantry.
Brigadier S.A.U.A Solangaarachchi RSP ndc psc, the Brigadier General Staff in SFHQ ( E ) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Further, Brigadier K.L.I Karunanayaka RWP RSP ndc, the Commandant of Army Training School - Maduruoya, Colonel A.L Perera, the Brigade Commander of 641 Brigade, 1 Corps and all Security Forces Headquarters Senior Officers attended to witness the parade and to award badges for course participants.
Following Officers and Other Ranks were awarded with special awards during the passing out parade:
Best Student Officer -Lieutenant E.M.P.L Dayananda of 16th Battalion, Gajaba Regiment
Best Student Other Rank- Lance Corporal B.G.I Badanage of 22nd Battalion theGajaba Regiment.
Best Physical - Corporal D.M.M.CJayasingha of (5 (V) Battalion, Sir Lanka Sinha Regiment)
Best Shooter - Lieutenant E.M.P.L Dayananda of the 16th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment
