The Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) marked its 69th Anniversary on 01 October 2025.
The proceedings began with the arrival of Major General J.K.R Jayakody RWP USP, Deputy Commander of Security Forces - West and Colonel of the Regiment SLSR. He was honoured in a Guard Turnout, followed by a ceremonial parade. Afterwards, the Colonel of the Regiment addressed all Ranks.
He then laid a floral wreath at the War Heroes Monument to honour fallen heroes, and a sapling was planted at the Regimental Centre. Later, the newly renovated concrete road to the Maha Oya area was ceremonially opened.
Certificates of appreciation and canvas shoes were distributed to soldiers who contributed to the road renovation, followed by an All Ranks Lunch. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
