The troops of Security Forces Headquarters – East arranged a formal ceremony to bid farewell to the outgoing Commander of Security Forces – East, Major General P.R. Pathiravithana USAWC psc, on 21 June 2025 at the Security Forces Headquarters – East.
In accordance with military traditions, a Guard Turnout was accorded by the troops of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps. This was followed by an address to the troops, during which the outgoing Commander expressed his appreciation for their unwavering dedication and service.
Adding memories to the day, the outgoing Commander was invited to pose for a group photograph. The formalities for the day concluded with an All-Ranks tea, providing an opportunity for the outgoing Commander to interact with all Ranks.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
