The Special Forces (SF) bade farewell to the outgoing Senior Officer, Major General W.M.P.M Wijesooriya RWP RSP ndu, on 05 August 2025 during a formal ceremony at the Regimental Centre.
Upon arrival, the Senior Officer was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant and accorded a Guard Turnout, followed by a Guard of Honour.
He later addressed the troops of SF, and as a token of appreciation for his dedicated service, mementoes were presented to the outgoing Senior Officer during the dinner night. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the ceremony.
