The Pre-deployment Training for Level II Hospital in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) No 13 was successfully concluded on 30 January 2026 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL).
Major General S.P. Wickramasekera RWP RSP USP psc, Director General Overseas Operations, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the closing remarks after awarding certificates to the course participants.
The course commenced on 05 January 2026 with the participation of 19 Officers and 78 Other Ranks of the Sri Lanka Army. The course was conducted to enhance basic knowledge on the practical and theoretical aspects of United Nations peacekeeping operations and the special tasks assigned in accordance with the mandate.
Senior Officers, Officers and instructors of IPSOTSL also participated in the event.
