Major General M.J.R.S Medagoda RSP USP ndc psc IG assumed duties as the new General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 11 Infantry Division on 29 December 2025 amidst religious blessings and military formalities at the 11 Infantry Division Headquarters in Pallekele.
Upon arrival, the new GOC was accorded a guard turnout, followed by a guard of honour presented by troops of 5 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry. Thereafter, he posed for a group photograph with all officers and participated in a all ranks tea.
Senior officers, officers and other ranks were present at the occasion.
