Brigadier M.R Hameem USP assumed duties as the 11th Director Information Technology of the Sri Lanka Army on 02 January 2026 during a simple ceremony held at the Directorate of Information Technology.
After assuming duties, the Director addressed all troops, highlighting the importance of discipline, teamwork and commitment in carrying out assigned responsibilities. He also emphasized the role of Information Technology in supporting modern military operations and encouraged all ranks to perform their duties with dedication.
Senior officers, officers and other ranks participated in the event.
