Brigadier B.A.P. Liyanage RWP RSP USP assumed duties as Director of the Directorate of Veteran Affairs and Rehabilitation at the Army Headquarters on 30 October 2025.
In his address, he highlighted the directorate’s key role in supporting veterans, next of kin of those killed in action and families of deceased personnel, pledging to strengthen ongoing welfare and rehabilitation programmes.
Senior officers, officers and other ranks of the Directorate participated in the occasion.
