Major General W.M.P.M Wijesooriya RWP RSP ndu assumed office as the 27th the Colonel Commandant of Military Intelligence Corps (MIC) on 20 March 2025, amidst traditional military formalities at the Regimental Centre, Karandeniya.
In accordance with military traditions, the incoming Colonel Commandant was honored with a ceremonial Guard Turnout followed by a Guard of Honour. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the formal proceedings of the day.
Major General W.M.P.M Wijesooriya RWP RSP ndu is presently serving as the Commander of 1 Corps, Kilinochchi.
