Under the direction of the Commander of the Army, Coordination Centres to inquire into the welfare and administrative matters of retired Army personnel, disabled war heroes and next of kin were established at each Army establishment islandwide with effect from 26 May 2025.
This initiative was introduced in response to the challenges faced by retired Army personnel, disabled war heroes and next of kin in accessing their respective Regimental Centres or Battalions due to geographical distances. These newly established Coordination Centres function as help desks, providing a platform for war veterans and their families to report grievances and concerns related to pay discrepancies, health matters, and other welfare-related issues.
At present, Army personnel have been continuously visiting these Centres and have successfully submitted their concerns, which have been referred to the respective authorities for necessary action.
