A three-day workshop for the instructors of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (HR and IHL) of Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ - West) was conducted at the SFHQ - West premises from 29 to 31 July 2025.
The workshop was conducted by the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) with the aim of strengthening the capacity of instructors in Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.
Colonel K.A.P. Kuruppu USP, the Director of the Directorate of Legal Services, Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, delivered the vote of thanks and emphasised the Sri Lanka Army's role in promoting and protecting human rights standards.
The workshop concluded with a certificate awarding ceremony. Eight Officer Instructors and fifteen Other Rank Instructors participated in the workshop.
