The Honorable Governor of the Northern Province, Mr. N. Vethanayahan, paid a courtesy call on Major General K.T.P. De Silva RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), on 23 March 2026 at the Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna.
During the meeting, the Governor emphasized the Sri Lanka Army’s valuable post-war contributions in the Northern Province and expressed his gratitude for the vital role played in supporting the area, appreciating the efforts made to release lands previously occupied by Army troops. He further commended the Army for maintaining peace and normalcy in the area and sought continued military assistance for future essential needs.
