Major General A.M.C Abeykoon RWP RSP USP ndc assumed duties as the new General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 54 Infantry Division amidst religious blessings and military formalities at the Division Headquarters premises in Mannar on 29 June 2025.
Adding memories to the day, the new GOC was invited to pose for group photographs, planted a sapling, addressed the troops, and later joined the All-Ranks tea. Senior Officer, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the event.
