Major General D.K.S.K. Dolage USP nps psc, the 10th Chief of Staff produced by the Sri Lanka Engineers Corps(SLE) and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of SLE, was ceremonially felicitated on Friday, 04th July 2025, at the Regimental Centre. This special occasion marked a moment of pride and unity as the Regiment came together to honour one of its most distinguished Senior Officers.
Upon arrival at the Regimental Centre, he was warmly received by the Centre Commandant, Colonel R.M Subasinghe RSP, at the Main Entrance and was accorded a formal Guard Turnout in keeping with military customs. In a solemn gesture of honour and remembrance, he laid a wreath at the Corps monument, paying deep respect to the fallen war heroes who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation. Subsequently, he was honoured with a magnificent Guard of Honour at the Regimental Parade Ground, showcasing the professionalism and pride of the Corps.
Following the ceremonial proceedings, the Colonel Commandant addressed the Officers and Other Ranks of the Corps, during which he outlined his future vision and key objectives aimed at further strengthening the unity, operational excellence, and regimental spirit of the Corps. His address served as an inspiration and call for collective commitment towards continued growth and progress.
As part of the day’s agenda, a tea was hosted at the Officers’ Mess, providing a relaxed setting to foster regimental camaraderie. The event was concluded with an address to all the Commanding Officers in a separate session, delivering important guidance and expectations to further enhance regimental leadership and command responsibility.
