Lieutenant Colonel S.D. Peiris USP psc (Retd) met Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, and presented the book “My Journey with the Commando Regiment” authored by him at Army Headquarters on 09 September 2025.
Lieutenant Colonel Sunil Dayal Peiris is regarded as a pioneering leader and visionary of the Sri Lanka Army, best known as the founder and architect of the Sri Lanka Army Commando Regiment. Throughout his distinguished military career, he made significant operational and strategic contributions towards enhancing the Army’s capabilities.
