A group of differently abled war heroes visited the 59 Infantry Division area on 28 June 2025, as part of a special programme aimed at uplifting their morale and providing a refreshing change from their daily routine.
During the visit, the group paid tribute at the Puthukkudiyiruppu War Monument and explored historic sites such as the LTTE leader Prabhakaran’s bunker, swimming pool and Wadduvakal Bridge.
The day concluded with a musical event and lunch at the Green Jacket Holiday Resort in Nayaru Beach.
The initiative was conducted under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 59 Infantry Division and under the supervision of the Commanders of 593 and 591 Infantry Brigades.
