Major General K.V.N.P. Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) of the Sri Lanka Army, Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Artillery and Chairman, Board of Management (BOM) of Ranaviru Apparel, made his first official visit to Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL), Yakkala, on 13 May 2026.
Major General M.A.D.J.D. Gunathilaka RSP USP, Commandant of RVAPL, welcomed the Chairman of the BOM upon his arrival. Subsequently, the Commandant delivered a comprehensive briefing on the history of the organisation, its mandate, production activities and management systems of the factory.
Thereafter, the Deputy Chief of Staff planted a sapling in the camp premises, symbolising growth and sustainability, followed by a visit to the camp area. He then toured all production sections of the factory.
During the visit, the DCOS offered valuable guidance and instructions, where necessary, focusing on enhancing productivity and improving operational efficiency. He reaffirmed his commitment to extend support towards upgrading the factory, with the aim of increasing production capacity to meet all uniform requirements and ensuring the supply of high quality uniforms for the Sri Lanka Army.
