Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, visited the Army Hospital, Colombo on 20 May 2025.
Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by the Director General of Health Services, Director of Army Dental Services, along with other Senior Officers.
During the visit, he inspected the Other Ranks’ (ORs) accommodation, messing facilities and cafeteria. He paid close attention to the sanitary conditions and overall environment, and instructed the relevant authorities to initiate immediate improvements to enhance living and operational standards.
He further inspected critical areas of the hospital, including the Patients’ Documentation Section, Outpatients Department (OPD) and the Pharmacy. At each point, the Deputy Chief of Staff offered constructive feedback and directed the respective officers to implement necessary corrective actions.
The visit concluded with a refreshment session. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the visit.
