Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) of the Sri Lanka Army and Chairman, Board of Management (BOM) of Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL), made his inaugural official visit to the RVAPL factory at Yakkala on 18 July 2025.
Upon arrival, Brigadier M.A.D.J.D Gunathilaka RSP USP, Commandant of RVAPL, extended a warm welcome to the DCOS. The Commandant provided a detailed briefing on the organization's history, functions, production processes, and management systems.
During the visit, he planted a "Nelly" sapling at the camp premises as a symbolic gesture of remembrance. He then inspected the production areas, issuing directives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
The DCOS also reviewed the infrastructure facilities and instructed measures to elevate standards promptly. He assured that every possible assistance would be provided to upgrade the factory, enabling it to achieve its targets and produce high-quality uniforms for the Sri Lanka Army.
