Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, graced the Prefects’ and Captains’ Investiture Ceremony of Sri Bodhiraja College, Embilipitiya, as the Chief Guest on 31 March 2026 on the invitation of the Most Venerable Omalpe Sobhita Thero, the founder of Sri Bodhiraja College and Bodhiraja Foundation.
Upon arrival, the Commander of the Army was accorded a warm welcome by the school band. During the ceremony, the Army Chief pinned the newly appointed prefects and captains with their badges, signifying the entrustment of leadership responsibilities.
Addressing the gathering, he delivered an insightful and inspiring speech, underscoring the importance of discipline, integrity, and commitment in leadership. He further encouraged the students to pursue their goals with determination and to uphold the values of responsible leadership in their academic and personal endeavours.
