Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, graced the distribution of stationery to students of the Defence Services Command and Staff College Course -20 (DSCSC–20) and the Logistics Staff Course - 12 (LSC–12) on 17 December 2025 at the Army Headquarters.
During the event, the Army Chief symbolically handed over stationery items to 12 students, comprising seven students from DSCSC Course - 20 and five students from LSC -12. Stationery for the remaining 91 students will be distributed accordingly. The total value of the distributed stationery amounted to Rs. 1,766,902.00.
Addressing the gathering, the Commander of the Army encouraged the students and highlighted the importance of academic excellence and professional development. This initiative marked the first occasion in the history of the Sri Lanka Army that stationery items were distributed to course participants, with the aim of facilitating and easing their academic requirements.
