Major General K.V.N.P Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, paid an official visit to the 2 Sri Lanka Rifle Corps (2 SLRC) on 15 November 2025.
Upon arrival, the Commandant was accorded a guard turnout awarded by the troops of 2 SLRC. Following this, the Commanding Officer of 2 SLRC presented a comprehensive briefing on the corps’ ongoing responsibilities and operational engagements.
The senior officer later addressed the troops, emphasising the value of self-realisation in both military and civilian spheres as a means of enhancing organisational effectiveness. He subsequently planted a sapling to mark the occasion.
Concluding the visit, the Commandant conducted a camp visit and penned a note of appreciation in the visitors’ book.
