Chief of the General Staff of Pakistan Army Visits Sri Lanka Army Headquarters

Lieutenant General Syed Aamer Raza, Chief of the General Staff (CGS) of the Pakistan Army, accompanied by a high-level military delegation, visited the Army Headquarters on 22 July 2025.

Upon arrival, he was received by Major General K.T.P. De Silva RSP ndu psc, the Adjutant General of the Sri Lanka Army, and was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour in keeping with military traditions.

Following the military honours, the Chief of the General Staff was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Sri Lanka Army. The Commander introduced the Principal Staff Officers to the visiting dignitary and invited him to join an official group photograph, which was followed by a cordial discussion.

The visit culminated with the exchange of mementos between the two senior military officers, symbolising the goodwill and mutual respect between the two armies. As a gesture of appreciation, Lieutenant General Syed Aamer Raza penned a few complimentary remarks in the visitors’ book.
