Brigadier D.C.J.W. Jayasekara (Retd) passed away on 01 November 2025 after a brief illness at the Army Base Hospital, Narahenpita. He was 60 years old at the time of his demise.
The remains of the late Senior Officer will lie at his residence, No. 23/09, 8th Mile Post, Thalwaththa, Gonawala, Kelaniya, from 02 November 2025 onwards for the paying of last respects.
His funeral, with full military honours, will be held at the crematorium of St. Theresa’s Church, Kelaniya, on 04 November 2025 in the evening.
