Under the guidance of the Commander of the Army, a large-scale renovation is currently underway at the Sri Lanka Parliamentary Complex, conducted by the troops of the 1st Field Regiment of the Sri Lanka Engineers and the 6 (V) Engineer Services Regiment, under the supervision of the Chief Field Engineer’s Office and the Directorate of Engineer Services.
The project covers several key areas of the complex, including soil removal at the terrace, expansion of the Pinniyara entrance, waterproofing repairs to the terrace, renovation of the main copper door, refurbishment of washrooms, the members’ dressing room, and the medical centre.
