A programme to distribute school items to students affected by the recent disaster was conducted on 09 January 2026. Accordingly, 425 school bags along with other essential school items were distributed among all students of Kaduwela Ranala Model Primary School.
Major General R.P.S. Prasad RWP RSP USP, General Officer Commanding of the 14 Infantry Division, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The school items were generously donated by Mr. Ranil Fernando and Mr. Shanaka Cooray.
