In conjunction with the 78th Independence Day, the troops of Security Force Headquarters (East) conducted a cleaning programme at Welikanda Base Hospital on 03 February 2026, under the guidance of Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander, Security Force Headquarters (East).
This community welfare programme was carried out at the request of Dr. Pradeep, the Medical Superintendent of Welikanda Base Hospital.
Officers, Other Ranks, representatives from the Mahaweli ‘B’ Zone Residential Management Main Office, members of the Welikanda Traders’ Association and staff members of Welikanda Base Hospital also participated in the programme.
