The troops of 51 Infantry Division and 5th Regiment of Engineer Service Regiment constructed and handed over a two-storey school building for the students of American Mission Tamil Mixed (AMTM) College, Jaffna, on 30 January 2026.
Major General K.T.P. De Silva RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), together with Major General M.R. Razick RSP ndu, General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division, attended the event as the distinguished guests.
The project received total financial support of approximately 25 million rupees from Dr. Gitendra Rajiyah, a philanthropist residing in the United States of America through the coordination of Mr. Senaka Senevirathna of Royal College Old Boys' East Coast Foundation of USA.
Senior Officers, Officers, govenment officials, Other Ranks, the principal, teachers and staff of the school and students participated in the event.
