Army personnel swiftly responded to a road accident in Thalagolla on 23 November 2025, after a tree collapsed onto a three-wheeler traveling along the Rambukkana–Mawanella road.
Troops from the 8 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, operating under the 611 Infantry Brigade of the 57 Infantry Division, immediately rushed to the scene upon receiving information about the incident.
Demonstrating prompt and effective action, the soldiers rescued four individuals who had been trapped inside the damaged three-wheeler.
The rescued individuals were transported to the Mawanella Base Hospital for further medical treatments.
