The Victory Premier League Karate – 1 Tournament was held on 28 February 2026 at the St. Joseph’s College Indoor Stadium, Maradana.
Army karate sportsman's delivered an outstanding performance, dominating the senior weight categories by winning all weight classes. The Army team also claimed victory in the Team Kumite event. The team secured 07 Gold Medals, 05 Silver Medals and 04 Bronze Medals.
In addition, Corporal W.S.V. Dias of 8 Sri Lanka Light Infantry emerged as the winner of the Open Kumite (Grand Champion) event.
The Army sportsman's participated in the tournament under the supervision of Major General A.M.R. Abeysinghe ndc, Chairman of the Army Karate Committee.
