Army Cyclist Secures Runners-up Position at Air Force Cycling Tour 2026

The 27th edition of the Air Force Cycling Tour 2026 concluded on 01 March 2026 at Defence Headquarters, Akuregoda, following the completion of three stages conducted over three days, commencing from Puttalam area.

The Men’s race, which commenced on 27 February 2026, was conducted with the participation of over 150 cyclists, including both local and international riders.

During the competition, Sri Lanka Army cyclist Lance Corporal A.D.S. Perera of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers secured second place overall, recording a total time of 8:56:15.

The overall team championship in the men’s event was clinched by the United Arab Emirates team, while the Sri Lanka Army team finished as runners-up.
