The Army Commander’s Cup Golf Tournament was held on 27 September 2025 at the Diyatalawa Golf Ground after a hiatus of six years.
Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Upon arrival, the Chief Guest was warmly welcomed by Major General K.A.W.N.H Bandaranayake USP, Commander, Security Forces (Central).
The event commenced with opening remarks by Major General M.J.R.S Medagoda RSP USP ndc psc IG, Commandant of the Sri Lanka Military Academy and Chairman of the Sri Lanka Army Golf Committee, followed by the ceremonial tee-off by the Chief Guest, marking the official start of the tournament.
After the rounds of play, prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners by the Chief Guest and other distinguished guests. The Commander of the Army delivered the closing remarks, and the day’s proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Army Golf Committee.
